 | | The Midland Civic Center as it looks from the outside. Extra parking is available across the street and at The Community Center. | The Midland Civic Center, located next door to the Midland Community Center at 515 E. Collins Street, has 2 indoor ice rinks which Midland High, H.H. Dow High and Northwood University use during the hockey season. During the winter, skating is available to the public. Drop in hockey is also available for those 18 and over and will continue through March. There are also various Leagues and Clubs that the public can join, including The Midland Figure Skating Club and The Midland Amateur Hockey League. A list of clubs and contacts are available Here.
 | | The Jock Shop provides hockey gear and rents out skates to those wishing to ice skate. The booth (on the right) is where tickets are sold for hockey games. | When The Civic Center is not being uaed during the wintertime, it is used for home and garden shows and sports banquets. It is also the main office of Midland Parks and Recreations. The Center previously had an outdoor pool, which was used a great deal in summer, but was recently removed due to problems. The current ice skating schedule for the month of February is the following:

Public Ice Schedule Monday: Noon – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday: 7:30 p.m. – 8:50 p.m. Friday: Noon – 2:00 p.m. (Drop-in hockey) 8:00 p.m. – 9:50 p.m. Saturday: Noon – 1:50 p.m. 7:00 p.m. – 8:50 p.m. Sunday: Noon – 1:50 p.m. 3:30 p.m. – 5:20 p.m.
Fees General Admission - $2.50 (all ages) 4 and under – Free Skating Pass (25 admissions) - $50,00 Skate Rental $1.50 It is advised that you call The Civic Center, at 832-8438, beforehand in case of cancellations.
